Accommodation

Uga Bay offers four types of accommodation with a total of 46 spacious rooms and suites. Each of its spacious rooms and suites offers breathtaking views of Pasikuda Bay.

Beach Studio: The Beach Studios have beach access and are located on the ground floor. The rooms feature a large king bed, large bathroom with rain shower, a ground floor balcony and a private terrace.

Ocean Studio: Located upstairs, the Ocean Studios offer views from a higher vantage point. Each has a private balcony to enjoy the views across the lush palm fringed garden of Uga Bay. These specious rooms feature a large king bed, large bathroom with rain shower and an upper floor balcony.

Bay Suite: This suite offers two bedrooms, large king size beds, separate living area, a dining area and a cantilevered open air plunge pool. The suite also offers breathtaking views of the Indian ocean and is ideal for a romantic getaway or for a family vacation.

Beach Villa: The Beach Villa is a romantic two-storied private villa by the sea with a private open air plunge pool and terrace. The villa offers unobstructed views of the Bay, as well as private access to the beach through a green oasis, complete with a natural pond. The villa has an outdoor bar, two bed rooms upstairs and a large living space with a dinning area on the ground floor.

Dining

Uga Bay proudly presents the best and freshest in fusion fare and fine dining. They offer the fresh seafood with locally grown organic produce. The dishes served are from Sri Lanka’s East Coast heritage, as well as traditionally Sri Lankan and Asian regional fare. Guest can choose to be served in the restaurant or anywhere else they prefer with the private dining options.

Restaurant: The restaurant looks out over the infinity pool to the sea, from where the fine freshfood is sourced. The hotel supports the local fisherman which offers the guest an opportunity to enjoy the catch of the day.

Private Dining: Private Dining experiences allow guests to choose a variety of atmospheres for their meals. Poolside cabanas are available, as are poolside barbeques or a seafood barbeque on the beach, raised upon a mound of sand between five palm trees. Room service is also available, to enjoy indoors or on private terrace or balcony.

EXPERIENCES

At the Resort:

Water Sports: One can do jet skis, or try out kayaking or windsurfing. There are coral reefs for snorkelling, deeper waters for boating and shipwrecks to explore while scuba diving.
Relax: Swim at the pool or enjoy the beautiful beach or enjoy karaoke, movie nights, or beach parties and barbeques.
Spa: The hotel has an underground spa with a view of the sea and it offers complete Well Being Packages and Yoga and Meditation are available on request. The therapists can provide massages based in local Ayurvedic techniques or Asian and European style massages. Poolside cabanas are also available for an outdoor treatment.
Bicycle Tour: Borrow a bicycle to venture out and discover nearby fishing villages, local markets, and traditional Hindu temples.

Excursions: Tours can be arranged to explore the nearby cultural sites, historical sites in Batticaloa or ancient UNESCO World Heritage sites in Polannaruwa.
