Located along the slopes of the Hantana range, Theva Residency is a small boutique hotel offering commanding views over the surrounding mountains and the bustle of the Kandy town located only two kilometers away. Theva Residency is your private and luxurious home away from home. As the hotel is spread over several storeys with lots of stairs, it is not recommended for the less mobile.
Theva Residency has 15 sun-filled contemporary rooms. Interiors are a combination of cotton, silk, wood and glass – a heady mix of the traditional and modern, to create an unparalleled in-room experience.
Each room is equipped with the standard options of a flat-screen television, 24 hour cable connection, wi-fi, mini-bar, in-room safe, in-room temperature control, kettle and hair dryer, daily housekeeping services and 24-hour front desk services. Deluxe Rooms: These are the standard rooms with a bedroom and ensuite bathroom, although small in size, the rooms are well furnished with a warm and cosy décor.
Superior Rooms: Slightly spacious than the deluxe rooms, the superior rooms features a bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a private balcony. The rooms are adorned with white from floor to ceiling with splashes of red, blue, yellow and orange.
Suites: Tucked away in a private corner and offering mountain views, the suites features a bedroom with ensuite bath and a Jacuzzi.
The Pent House: The Penthouse has a spacious sitting and dining room and a bedroom with a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom.
Theva residency has a multicuisine restaurant which serves traditional Sri Lankan curries and fusion cuisine. The restaurant itself has huge floor-to-ceiling windows in order to make the most of the views, and there is an outdoor area where guests can dine as well.
The guests can use the in-house sauna or the infinity pool for relaxation and recreation.
Sightseeing tours to Kandy town to visit the historic and sacred DaladaMaligawa (Temple of the Tooth), the palace of the last King of Kandy, and temples at Gadaladeniya, Embekka and Lankatillake can be arranged on request. Visits to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, elephant bathing sites and the Udawattakele rainforest can also be arranged on request.
Bird watching tour and trekking tour to the lush Hantana Rainforest, which is full of rivulets, streams, animal and plant life can be arranged. Visitors could always take a short walk to the Hantana Tea Estate Museum.
