Located in the historic Galle Fort, the Fort Printers is an 18th century mansion which has been restored into an elegant small boutique hotel. The mansion traces its origin to the Dutch period but substantial additions were made in the English era after 1796, including high ceilings and large windows. Originally comprising 5 suites, the hotel now houses 13 suites with the addition of two heritage villas in 2013. Known for offering understated elegance and personal service in an intimate, friendly atmosphere, the hotel is ideal as an exclusive accommodation to explore the Galle Fort, countryside and the beaches around Galle.

54 Peddler Street suites: There are 3 suites in this villa. Each of the bedrooms has an elegant contemporary bathroom with an antique bath tub. The bedrooms feature a four poster bed, a sofa-bed/chaise lounge and a writing desk with designer chair. The suites have access to a private sitting room with a mini library and an Ipod station, a private dining area with a long dining table to host 10 or more dinner guests and individual dinners.
41 Church Street suites: There are 5 suites in this villa. Each of the bedrooms has an elegant contemporary bathroom with an antique bath tub. The Prefect’s: Located on ground floor in the courtyard, next to the pool, this rooms comes with a double bed with mosquito net, separate shower room and an antique bath tub, outside sitting area, luxury toiletry, mini bar with tea making facilities.
The Headmasters: Located on first floor overlooking the lighthouse and the pool in courtyard, this room comes with a double bed with mosquito net , separate dressing room with WC, copper clad shower, luxury toiletry, and a mini bar with tea making facilities.
The hotel specializes in fresh seafood, Mediterranean inspired specialties, and traditional Sri Lankan delicacies. The fresh and vibrant menu uses predominantly fresh seafood and organic local produce. The chiefs plan the menu for the day based on guests’ preference.
The meals are served in the frangipani courtyard overlooking the thin lap pool or in the grand dining room.
