'Taru Villas - River Cottage', Bentota [Sri Lanka]

River Cottage is located along the river with extraordinary beautiful views of palms and mangroves that sweep behind the water. Accommodation

The 2 en-suite Double rooms can accommodate 4 people. An extra person can be accommodated on an extra bed located in the living room. The rooms are equipped with safe, individually controlled A/C, overhead fan, luggage rack and Hot/Cold Shower. Guest laundry, daily housekeeping and free WIFI in public area are also available.

Dining

The breakfast at the villa is a choice of local, international and health conscious dishes. For the rest of the meals, the villa offers a family style catering and service with a private chef who will be more than happy to cook meals as per guest requests and preferences. The guest can even cook their own meal or choose from the menu at the restaurant of the sister property ‘Taru Villas – Rock Villa’.

EXPERIENCES

At the Villa: Guest can relax on the deck under the warm sun or under the shade of the verandah overlooking the river or perhaps enjoy a cool cocktail as evening descends and dine under the moon as it reflects on the rippling water. For those keen on water activities, jet skiing, water skiing and banana boat rides can be arranged.

Brief Garden Tour: Visit the Bevis Bawa's wild and elaborate garden to experience the sights, sounds, smells, and textures of nature.
The Turtle Hatchery: Visit a Turtle Hatchery to learn about this important operation and help to release the day's hatchlings into the ocean.
