‘Taru Villas – Kurumba’ is situated along the Mawella Bay, a 2km stretch of curving, palm-fringed beach on Sri Lanka’s south-western coastline. The villa offers ultimate seclusion, total luxury, personalised service and allows the guests to absorb nature, reflect peacefully and fall back in love with life.

Accommodation

Built into the design and execution of ‘Taru Villas – Kurumba’, is Taru’s instinctive understanding that there is something transformative about nature. The villa lets its natural surroundings take center-stage without ever compromising on guest comfort. The villa offers a spacious living area that opens out to the verandah and there is direct beach access from the villa.

The 2 en-suite Double rooms can accommodate 4 people. Rooms are equipped with individually controlled A/C, Overhead Fan, Luggage Rack and Hot/Cold Shower. Guest laundry, daily housekeeping and free Wi –Fi in public spaces are also available.

With only two rooms, the villa has a policy of renting out only one room + the house or the entire villa on an exclusive basis to ensure total seclusion. Also a minimum 03 nights stay is required.

Dining

'Taru Villas - Kurumba' is practically made for eating outside. When the heat subsides, it gets difficult for the guest to resist the pure and simple appeal of open-to-sky dining or a meal under sea-breezed pavilion.

The breakfast includes everything from the light to the substantial, with meals that include both regular and health conscious dishes. The villa offers a family style catering and service with a private chef who prepares meals of guest’s choice or the guests may even choose to cook their own meals.

At the Villa: Guest can sit back and take in the sights and the sounds of nature from the shade of the breezy living area on the deck or take rest on the manicured garden that extends to the beachfront. For ultimate relaxation, one can indulge in a massage under the pavilion. Guest can also walk along the quite beach or take a swim in the irresistible blue ocean.

• Galle Visit: Tour of the Galle to explore the history, art, architecture, and culture of the historic seaside town.
• Mulkirigala Rock Temple Day Tour: Tour involves climbing a 200-meter rock, passing sleeping Buddhas, pools of water, and caves. One can see the site where the ancient manuscripts of the Mahavamsa (the great chronicle of ancient Sri Lanka) were discovered, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside from the summit.
• Udawalawe Safari: Wildlife lovers may choose to visit the famous Udawalawe national park, rich in wildlife such as buffalo, deer, leopards, and elephants.
• Hikkaduwa Visit: One can spend a day in the bustling beachside town and enjoy surfing, snorkeling and diving by day, or get a taste of the famously vibrant nightlife in the evening.
• Mirrissa Whale Watching: Guests can be taken to the ocean by boat to seek the thrill of number of species whales in their natural habitat.
