The Mountbatten Lodge, Ranakpur shares its boundary with The Kumbalgarh wildlife sanctury and can boast of having two of the more important historical sights of the country at its backdoor - the famous Ranakpur Jain Temples and The Kumbalgarh Fort (famous for having the second longest wall after the great wall of China). Besides the temple and the fort, the sanctury is a haven for Leopards, Sloth Bear, Barking Deer, Wild Boar , Blue Bull, Grey Jungle Fowl and a host of bird life.
The Lodge is an exclusive 4 suite property in a stunning location. It is definitely a 2 night destination for guests staying in Udaipur or driving between Jodhpur and Udaipur. Here one can take a safari/ trek to the Ranakpur Temples or The Kumbalgarh Fort. Picnic lunches, Champagne sunsets either by Elephant or Horse along with a tribal village visit can be also be organized. Day trip Safari Lunches from Udaipur can also be done here as it is only 80 Kms away ( a 2 hour drive).
The lodge consists of 2 Individual Suites each with a private plunge pool and 2 Interconnected Suites (family Villa-with 2 bedrooms) sharing a swimming pool.
With just 04 rooms, meals are a personalized affair. You can relax in the classic Raj-era bar and lounge, or dine in the restaurant enjoying the old-school hunting recipes.
