Water Dwellings : There are four water dwellings that have been constructed over the lake. These dwelings have woven ceilings, high wooden floors, muted colours and white linen which complement the tones of woven reed that forms an essential part of the décor. The rooms come with a bedroom with ensuite facilities and a private balcony overlooking the lake.
Paddy Dwellings/Marsh Dwellings : The 06 Paddy & 05 Marsh Dwellings are set withing paddy field and scrubland respectively. These creatively furnished habitats vary in basic design, but all the dwellings have their own deck with a view of the paddy fields or the scrubland. All paddy dwellings and two of the marsh dwellings have their own private plunge pool.
Forest Dwelling : Located within the forest, the forest dwellings have two levels with a spacious bedroom and a dining room as well as a private swimming pool. The décor is stylishly simple with natural tones and crisp whites harmonizing with the muted shades of woven reeds and rattan.
Garden Dwellings : The five Garden Dwellings are newer addition in the resort and comes with a bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a lounge area.
All the dwellings are equipped with an air conditioning, ceiling fans, satellite TV and telephone, BOSE entertainment system, mini bar tea / coffee maker, electronic safe, sarongs and slippers, iron, board and hairdryers. Selection of books / CDs / DVDs on request.
The Jetwing Vil Uyana have four dine and wine options categorized as :
Apsara : This is the main all day dining restaurant serving a multicuisine menu. With fantastic view of the Sigiriya looming in the distance and a range of uniquely authentic dishes, the restaurant is a gourmet’s delight.
Tree Top : A magical and unique dining option located high up in the tree tops, the Tree Top restaurant serves Western and Srilankan cuisine using the freshest vegetables, meat, seafood, herbs and spices.
The Sulang : This unique bar offers some light snacks and refreshing drinks beginning in the morning and extending into the night.
The Graffitti Bar : Located beside a pool of white lotus, the Graffiti Bar serves some classic cocktails and world famous brands along with the finest in Sri Lankan beer and Spirits.
Vil Uyana offers many experiences to its guests. The main experiences are guided bird watching tour and nature walk in its vast wetland spotting the wildlife that frequent the area. The wetlands are home to some spectacular species of butterflies and birds including jacanas, lily trotters, coots, white breasted water hens, herons, egrets, cormorants, the white bellied and grey headed fish eagles and four different species of kingfishers. Apart from the varied varieties of birds and butterfly there are many species of amphibians, reptiles, mammals well as rare and threatened Otter and Fishing Cats.
Other activities include cooking demonstration sessions, tea tasting ceremonies and cycling trips to the nearby villages.
There is also yoga for the enthusiast and a snug library with gorgeous views across the lake.
The resort also has a world class Ayurveda and naturopathy treatment centre. The Ayurveda centre has a ‘wet area’ with a steam room, a plunge pool as well as massage and treatment rooms and offers the guest a range of therapeutic and beauty treatments.
