Buckingham Place is a eco friendly boutique hotel, located in the fishing and farming village of Rekawa, approximately 25 minutes from the nearest towns of Ranna and Tangalle. Accommodation

The hotel has 15 rooms categorized as:

Balcony Bedrooms: Located on the ground floor overlooking the lagoon, these rooms comes with a king size bed and ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and separate rain-shower. The rooms are equipped with a satellite TV and come with a balcony.

Extra Large Bedrooms: Located on the ground floor overlooking the lagoon, these rooms are spacious enough to accommodate two extra bed apart from the main bed. The rooms also feature a verandah and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and separate open –air- rain-shower. The rooms are not equipped with a satellite TV.

Extra Large Suites (First floor): Located on the first floor, these two suites share a long balcony overlooking the lagoon. Each suite has an additional side balcony, and both suites come with a large, airy, rain-shower bathroom (without bathtub). Satellite TV is installed in both suites.

Extra Large Suites (Ground Floor): Located on the ground floor, these two suites share a long verandah overlooking the lagoon. Each suite feature a small, air-conditioned annex/side room (entrance through main bedroom/no view) into which a small bunk bed can be installed Satellite TV is installed in both suites but is removable upon request. Both suites come with a large, airy bathroom with a bathtub and open pergola -rain-shower.

Honeymoon Suite: Located on the ground floor, this suite is set in a very peaceful and secluded position. The suite features a bright and very spacious bedroom with lagoon views, an ensuite bathroom with open-air rain-shower/bathtub and a balcony with lagoon view. There is a satellite TV in the room.

GardenSuites: Secluded and low level, these suites features a spacious bedroom with a separate luggage room, own shaded veranda to the front and ensuite bathroom with an open pergola rain-shower with lagoon views from the large bathtub. There is no TV in these suites.

All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, wi-fi accessibility, mini-fridge & safety box, soft seating, hairdryers, local network mobile phone and large double bed with sprung mattress.

Dining

The hotel has an open air all day dining venue. The hotel serves fusion and traditional Sri Lankan cuisine with some good old fashioned favourites - all on one, delicious, day-long menu that changes each day over five days. Their ‘signature’ Big Village Breakfast is available to order all day as are snacks, picnics and pots of freshly ground ‘French Press’ Sri Lankan coffee.

The hotel also serves spirits, chilled international wine, ice cold beer and the local & foreign liquor on all days (except on religious & public holidays).
