The resort has several beautifully crafted chalets categorises as:

Standard Rooms: The standard rooms have a bedroom with a queen size bed and ensuite bathroom with a separate traditional stone shower. The rooms also come with a small verandah or a balcony offering excellent views of the Ella Gap and Small Adams Peak.

Superior Room: The spacious superior rooms comes with a bedroom with a king size bed, a private living area and a bathroom with a separate traditional stone. The rooms also has a large balcony overlooking the Ella Gap and Mini Adams peak.

Premium Deluxe: The premium deluxe rooms have a bedroom that comes with a choice of a king size bed or two single beds, a private ensuite bathroom with with rain shower over looking the Ella Gap.The rooms also has a large balcony overlooking the Ella Gap and Mini Adams peak.

Honeymoon Deluxe: The Honeymoon deluxe rooms have a bedroom that comes with a large king size bed , a private living area and a bathroom with a separate traditional stone shower and oversized bathtub with hot and cold water. These rooms also has a large balcony overlooking the Ella Gap and Mini Adams peak.

Greenland suite: The Greenland suite is spacious & offer direct views of the Ella Gap & the small Adam’s peak in Ella. Spacious balcony or the terrace offering the ideal place to relax and watch as the sun rise & the panoramic view of the hill range of Ella with surrounding of tea plantations. King Size luxury bed, large bathroom with shower, provided with hot & cold water. The suite is equipped with a kitchen & pantry with cooking facilities with all cooking equipment's provided in the room with cutlery & crockery.


Dining

The hotel has a multi-cuisine restaurant named the “Restaurant 98”. Built on a hillock overlooking mesmerising scenery, the restaurant offers Sri Lankan, Continental and Far Eastern cuisine. The signature dishes of the restaurant includes speciality tea soups and sauces.

The hotel also has a bar offering an extensive list of wines and spirits. The speciality includes a range of ‘Tipsy-T’ mocktails, cocktails and fine selection of teas. Named “Bar 98”, the bar is uniquely designed and constructed using recycled timber from old railway sleepers.


EXPERIENCES

  • Birdwatching: In and around the tea cultivation and forest reserve of the resort. The Resort provides sanctuary for 27% or 63 species of the resident birds of Sri Lanka, including 6 precious species endemic to the country. All these birds are reported to be forest birds and their existence is naturally protected within the environs in this 98 acre tea cultivation and 10 acre forest reserve.
  • The Tea Story: A complete tour that gives the guests an opportunity to understand how a tea is produced - from start to finish. The tour includes a walk in the plantation followed by a visit to the tea factory to witness the tea processing. Continue onto a great tea tasting session at the factory and then return to the Bar 98 or Restaurant 98 to appreciate a tea cocktail, mocktail or a delicately tea infused dish.
  • Hiking and Trekking: The vicinity of 98 Acres Resort and Spa affords ample opportunity for hiking, trekking and biking. One can go for Hiking and Trekking to Little Adam’s peak , Ella Rock, Ravana Ella Falls or Bambaragama Falls, Sri Lanka’s second highest waterfall.
  • Archery: Archery session with a trained instructor can be organised which includes training and equipments that are provided by the in-house archery specialist
  • Biking: Bike ride through the tea plantations towards Namunukula (13 km) can be arranged.
  • Helicopter Rides: Located 5 minutes away, at the resorts’ private helipad one can embark on one of the most scenic helicopter rides in Sri Lanka.
  • Cooking with Chef: This is an introduction to sri lankan traditional spices and methods of cooking. Duration of the session is one hour and maximum 5 people can be accomodated so prior booking is recommended.
